About Endeavour Quay
The boatyard named Endeavour Quay was established in 2005 after taking over the premises of the renowned boat builder, Camper & Nicholson. The site is steeped in history, there has been a boat yard located here since the 1790s. A long list of famous yachts and motor boats were built on the site and it is from the most famous of these - the J Class yacht "Endeavour" that the yard takes its name. The yard continues the tradition of catering for a wide range of vessels.Endeavour Quay Ltd, part of the Marina Projects Group, operates the boat yard and manages the three large boat storage sheds. The 180 tonne hoist and associated equipment is operated by an experienced in-house team that ensures that we are able to handle a wide range of vessels professionally and safely. The deep water hoist dock and berthing area provide unrestricted access 24 hours a day.
In 2006 a massive refurbishment and modernisation programme was undertaken to bring the facility in to the 21st century. Endeavour Quay is now ideally suited for yacht refit work, race preparation, commissioning of new vessels and general maintenance work on both pleasure and commercial vessels. The undercover storage facility provides the opportunity to carry out work in a dry and well lit environment so reducing time out of the water.
In the modernisation programme new offices and workshops were created allowing the vital marine services to set up in the yard. A growing number of marine related businesses are now operating from the site and provide support to vessels that are afloat or ashore.
Whatever your needs our friendly and highly experienced team are more than happy to discuss your requirements with you and ensure that the time spent at Endeavour Quay is a happy experience.
